Honor has launched a new flagship phone as part of its gaming-oriented GT series. The new device is called the Honor GT Pro. It packs meaty hardware, premium features, and an aggressive design. It’s available only in China as of now, and a notable global release has not took place yet.

The phone is running the Snapdragon 8 Elite (Leading Edition). The chip has overclocked Oryon CPU cores at 4.47GHz and a GPU at 1.2GHz. This is the same spec as Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series. Coupled with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, the GT Pro is built for speed.

Honor GT Pro: An Overpowered Flagship Gaming Phone

It accompanies a massive 6.78-inch LTPO OLED screen which features a Full HD+ display. The display refresh rate can vary between 1Hz to 144Hz, depending upon usage. Battery life is thus conserved yet animations remain fluid. The screen can reach an incredible 6,000 nits of maximum brightness, and hence it remains easy to read even in sunny conditions. There’s also some rugged Giant Rhino Glass from Honor for extra cover. There is an embedded ultrasonic fingerprint sensor in the screen, and the phone is IP68/69 rated for dust and water resistance.

Also, GT Pro boasts a massive quad-camera arrangement. There is a 50MP Sony IMX906 main sensor at the back, a 50MP 3x telephoto lens (IMX856), and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 120-degree field of view. There’s a 22mm wide-angle 50MP front selfie shooter with a puny punch-hole cutout.

The phone has a massive 7,200mAh battery and is capable of fast charging at 90W. That translates into more gaming and less waiting.

The GT Pro runs on MagicOS 9.0 on top of Android 15 operating system. It comes in three colors: Gold, White, and Black. The phone starts at CNY 3,999 (approximately $545) for the 12GB + 256GB model. The top model with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is available for CNY 4,299 (about $588).

So, the Honor GT Pro is a smartphone for gamers and heavy users. It packs high-end features into a skinny and tough body. The only thing left now is a global launch.
