Xiaomi is moving fast with Android 16. The company has just started pushing the update to four of its top smartphones, showing once again that it takes software updates seriously. The rollout, powered by HyperOS 2.3, is now live for the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 14T Pro in both global and European (EEA) markets.
If you own one of these phones, you can install the update right from your phone’s settings. Or, if you want more control over the process, the MemeOS Enhancer app on the Play Store is a solid option.
Phones Getting the Android 16 Update
Xiaomi made sure each version is tailored for its region. That means better performance, fewer bugs, and a smoother overall experience. Here are the exact builds:
- Xiaomi 15 Global – Version OS2.0.218.0.WOCMIXM
- Xiaomi 15 EEA – Version OS2.0.218.0.WOCEUXM
- Xiaomi 14T Pro Global – Version OS2.0.216.0.WNNMIXM
- Xiaomi 14T Pro EEA – Version OS2.0.215.0.WNNEUXM
All four builds run on Android 16 and bring the latest from Google and Xiaomi together.
What’s New in the Update?
This update isn’t just about a new Android version number. Xiaomi added July 2025’s security patch, so your phone’s more secure right out of the box. Under the hood, there are tweaks to system architecture that help with:
- Device stability
- Faster response times
- Stronger data protection
These improvements make the phone feel snappier while guarding against modern threats.
Before You Update…
Xiaomi recommends backing up your stuff before installing. After updating, your phone might feel a little off for a day or two as the system adjusts to Android 16. That’s normal.
Also, don’t be surprised if a few third-party apps misbehave. Some apps might need updates to work smoothly with the new OS. Most developers should release patches soon, though.
