A Chinese auction site has listed an early prototype of the Google Pixel 10 Pro, which they claim offers a glimpse of Google’s upcoming flagship phone. The unauthorized listing, which was found on Goofish and has multiple pictures of the unreleased phone. This unofficially confirms some critical design features and hints that the Pixel 10 series will retain the design language of its predecessor.

A closer look at the prototype

The listing displays two images of the phone’s front and back. While the screen is black and inactive, the bezels surrounding it appear to be thinner and more uniform than on previous models. They are symmetrical, supporting Google’s continuing design approach. As with recent Pixel phones, the front-facing camera is located at the previously mentioned hole-punch cutout.

The back of the device retains the old design, although it is not consumer-ready. The back cover looks to be halfway through the production stages, as it features distinct patterns that mark it as a prototype. Such markings are common for internal tracking in a company and are not meant to be seen by the public.

Design changes could be subtle

While the images don’t show the phone from every angle, early leaks and reports suggest that the Pixel 10 Pro won’t drastically depart from the Pixel 9 Pro. The camera bar might be slightly thinner and less raised. However, that’s hard to confirm from the images included in the listing. Overall, the prototype seems very close to what might end up in stores, though nothing is guaranteed at this stage.

One unusual part of the listing is the inclusion of a photo of what’s claimed to be the phone’s motherboard. It’s not clear why the seller added it, but it may have been an attempt to prove authenticity. Regardless, the listing shows a level of detail that typical leaks don’t offer, especially this early in the product cycle.

Google’s launch plans and fan reaction

In the coming months, Google will likely release the Pixel 10 series, and such leaks will probably not change anything. While some may be hoping for something innovative, the familiarity will probably resonate well with the fan base.
