Google introduced a new AI video tool at its I/O 2025 developer conference. Dubbed Flow, the new product aims to make video creation simpler for creators and filmmakers using artificial intelligence.
Google Introduces ‘Flow’: an AI Video Editor for Creators
Flow incorporates the power of three of the strongest AI models of Google. They are Veo for videos, Imagen for pictures, and Gemini for text and prompts. They help the users generate scenes, characters, and stories in a matter of ease.
The users can import their own background and characters or construct everything from scratch in the tool. Flow possesses some handy features. They consist of camera angle control, with which the users are able to pan view around in a scene. Flow also possesses a scene editor to insert or trim shots, and assets for visual content management.
Google also launched Flow TV, which is a stream of user-generated videos that entail the use of artificial intelligence. It shows the exact prompts used in every video. This helps others learn and get inspired by seeing how each video was made.
Flow takes up where Google’s last innovations in this area left off, like VideoFX last year. Flow is more sophisticated and for everybody, however. Also, Flow includes more control, flexibility, and creative tools all in one package.
Google Launches ‘Flow,’ a New AI Video Tool for Filmmakers
Several startups like Moonvalley, D-ID, Cheehoo, and Hedra are also creating similar technology. They all already use Google’s AI models. In Flow, Google is entering more directly into video-making territory by providing a whole application instead of just the backend technology.

Flow is first being rolled out in the U.S. on Google’s AI Pro and AI Ultra plans. Those on the Pro plan will get 100 generations per month. Ultra subscribers will get more, though exact boundaries have not been announced. They will also get access to Google’s most recent video models.
Google’s vision for Flow is simple: create videos faster, simplify the process, and involve more people in filmmaking.
