Space fans and enthusiasts who typically tune in to livestreams, there’s good news for you as NASA has recently partnered Amazon to bring the NASA+ live channel to the streaming platform for all to access.
This latest live experience from NASA is a FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) channel that is now available to access directly on Prime Video and even other platforms.
This latest expansion from NASA centers on a free channel for enthusiasts to enjoy, featuring various cosmic and space-related content for the public to access, as well as its live rocket launches and missions.
Amazon Prime Video: NASA+ Live Channel Now Available
NASA shared an announcement debuting its new FAST channel that it is working on offering live shows and events directly to users via the new NASA+ service. That being said, the space agency is first launching the experience via Amazon’s Prime Video platform for the public to access.
Previously, NASA+ offered an on-demand streaming service to users featuring its originally produced content centering on space and the Earth, but it is now moving towards a live channel service for everyone.
The company revealed that NASA+’s new live channel is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video’s FAST section, and is viewable on different screens like mobiles, tablets, PCs, and smart TVs.

Stream Rocket Launches and More For Free on NASA+
Users also need not worry about getting an Amazon Prime Video subscription for the experience as NASA+ is available to access for free on Prime Video’s FAST section, as well as on other major platforms on which it is available.
Future live coverage of rocket launches, technology missions, and originally produced content from NASA are available to enjoy as well as the NASA app on iOS and Android, including other media players like Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, and more.
FAST Channels and Livestreams
The world has been swept off its feet when streaming platforms dominated the entertainment world as they offered on-demand content directly and even without ads. However, many streaming platforms have moved away from their traditional offers by reviving the cable TV-style experiences with live channels, including the FAST ones that are available for free.
The Walt Disney Company, which acquired Hulu, has already been offering live channels to sift through via the Hulu streaming platform and ESPN+, but there is more that the company wants to bring to the table.
It was revealed last year that there are plans to revamp Disney+ into feature a FAST channel service where users may watch non-stop streams of Marvel, “Star Wars,” and more titles from its IP.
It is also known that many other streaming giants are also featuring live channels to access right on their platforms, including the likes of YouTube TV, Max, Peacock, Paramount Plus, and more.
