Samsung is preparing to release a new smartphone called the Galaxy S25 FE. The phone carries the code name R13 and the model number SM-S731B, according to GalaxyClub. The phone is likely to launch in the fall of 2025.
Samsung Set to Launch Galaxy S25 FE with Significant Updates
The Galaxy S25 FE will take the place of last year’s Galaxy S24 FE. It will run One UI 8, the latest software from Samsung. One UI 8 is based on Android 16, the latest iteration of Google’s mobile OS. That means users will receive the latest features and security updates right away.
The phone will probably use the Exynos 2400e processor. This is the same processor in the Galaxy S24 FE. It is also going to be used in the future Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which is Samsung’s more affordable foldable smartphone. The Exynos 2400e is not the most speedy chip, but it ought to be fine for the majority of users.
One of the major differences this year is the release order. The Fan Edition (FE) models used to be the fourth in the Galaxy series in past years. However, this year the Galaxy S25 FE will be the fifth model. That is because Samsung is going to launch a new phone first—the Galaxy S25 Edge. The phone is going to be a super thin variant of the S25 and will be announced on May 13.
Samsung appears to be revamping its strategy. By offering additional models of the Galaxy S25, the company is trying to attract more people. Some might want a budget-friendly phone such as the FE. Others might want a sleek, thin phone such as the Edge. The Galaxy S25 FE would be a good choice for anyone who needs excellent features without spending too much. It would come with the latest software, good performance, and a reliable brand. More is yet to be announced in the following months as the launch date draws near.
Stay tuned for further developments as Samsung continues to grow its Galaxy series.
