Xiaomi has shared good news for users of its top phones. The company has fixed several annoying problems in its latest HyperOS update. This includes improvements for the Xiaomi 15 Pro and the camera-focused Xiaomi 13 Ultra.
Xiaomi made this announcement on April 4 via the Xiaomi Community. This update will solve long-standing user complaints while making the system even smoother.
What’s Fixed in the New Xiaomi HyperOS 2 Update
Here are the main problems Xiaomi has fixed:
- Volume control glitch: The volume bar was misaligned when users pulled down the control center. That’s now fixed for a cleaner look.
- Battery drain with Mi Band 9: Some Xiaomi 15/15 Pro users had fast battery drain when connected to the Mi Band 9. The issue has been solved.
- Calculator editing: You can now change numbers easily inside the calculator app, which wasn’t possible before.
- Better WeChat audio: A strange metallic sound would play during WeChat recordings. That noise is now gone.
- Theme duplicates: On the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, borderless themes appeared more than once. Xiaomi merged the copies for a cleaner theme section.
HyperOS 2: What Xiaomi Is Still Working On
The update didn’t fix everything. Currently, the company is working on:
- Random screen freezes and blackouts occur after changing the minimum width in developer settings.
- Odd desktop power usage on the Redmi K70 Ultra.
- Always-on display (AOD) and lock screen shortcut issues.
- Volume control module not placed correctly on some screens.
- A smart feature that should auto-unsubscribe users from sports alerts isn’t working right.
What This Means for You
These updates show that Xiaomi is listening to users and improving HyperOS step by step. HyperOS 2 is one of the brand’s biggest software changes. It aims to bring a smooth and unified experience across all Xiaomi products.
