Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 this summer, possibly in July, at its highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event in New York.
Greek site Techmaniacs claims in a report that the next-generation robust smartwatch will be launching together with Samsung’s foldable phones—the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7.

While official information is kept secret, the leak suggests that the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will feature the same “squircle” design as the earlier model. But it could arrive with some major upgrades, such as added internal storage and a new user interface inspired by One UI 7.
As reported by TechRadar, the interface update could make the smartwatch more intuitive and fluid, offering users a more streamlined experience.
While it’s unclear whether Samsung will include a physical rotating bezel, as seen on the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, or introduce a rotating crown like other Android competitors, fans are hopeful for a more interactive and premium feel.

Will Samsung Increase the Price of the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2?
Information on hardware specifications is still limited, but the leaked data indicates that the watch will be more about increasing storage and streamlining usability.
That fits into Samsung’s overall wearable strategy, when it comes to quality performance and “ruggedness,” according to Android Central. By now, the South Korean tech giant appears to be prioritizing the improvement of user experience.
Interestingly, the price point is rumored to stay the same. Techmaniacs reports that the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will cost $649.99, identical to the original Galaxy Watch Ultra. If this is true, Samsung could be gambling that the value added through software enhancements and additional storage space will be sufficient to attract premium smartwatch consumers.
What to Expect at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked
Several leaks have suggested an early July release window for Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. The event will most probably present the company’s next series of innovations, which include the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Watch 8, and Watch 8 Classic, and of course, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
Outside the talks about smartwatches, the Galaxy Ring 2 failed to make an appearance during the January Unpacked event. However, there’s a very slim chance it will be introduced for the upcoming Unpacked tech show in July.
Still, take this information with a grain of salt. As a friendly reminder, there are just leaks and rumors. We could only confirm them if there’s an official announcement from Samsung.
