Nothing’s sub-brand CMF has introduced its first Pro model, the CMF Phone 2 Pro, with notable enhancements over its predecessor. Leading the changes is the new camera system. The phone carries a 50MP main camera with a larger 1/1.57” sensor, which captures significantly more light compared to the original model. It supports 4K video at 30fps and features AI stabilization.
Joining the main sensor are two new additions: a 50MP telephoto camera with a 2x optical zoom (using a 1/2.88” sensor and f/1.85 aperture) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 119.5° field of view. The front camera remains a 16MP unit. Expanding its modular concept, CMF has also introduced attachable lenses for macro and fisheye photography, offering users more flexibility.
Display, build, and performance
The CMF Phone 2 Pro features a 6.77-inch display, slightly larger than its predecessor, offering 1080p resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and support for 10-bit color and HDR10+. It achieves up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness and uses high-frequency 2,160Hz PWM dimming for reduced eye strain. Panda Glass protects the screen.
The device measures 7.8mm thick and weighs 185g, making it thinner and lighter than the Phone 1. Water resistance has been improved to IP54. Available finishes include White (sandstone texture), Black and Light Green (frosted glass), and Orange (metallic sheen).
The Phone 2 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset, which offers around 10% better CPU and 5% better GPU performance compared to the previous generation. It comes with 8GB RAM and options for 128GB or 256GB of storage, with microSD expansion available.
Battery, software, and pricing
Keeping the device running is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging and 5W reverse charging. CMF claims the battery retains at least 90% capacity after 1,200 charging cycles. The Phone 2 Pro ships with Nothing OS 3.2 based on Android 15, with three years of major OS updates and six years of security patches promised.
Importantly, NFC is now included, addressing a major complaint from the first model. The company commenced pre-orders today on its official website, nothing.tech, but the official sales will be held on May 6. Pricing starts at €250/£220/₹19,000 for the base 8/128GB variant, while the 8/256GB model is priced at €280/£250/₹21,000. A US launch is happening via a Beta Program with the 256GB model available at $280. Accessories like the modular lenses and covers will also be sold separately through CMF’s official website.
