Huawei Unveils Its New AI-Powered Smart TV

Huawei has added a new model to its line of Smart TVs: the Vision Smart Screen 5 SE. The TV comes in three sizes — 55 inches, 65 inches, and 75 inches. The television boasts a number of modern features, including MiniLED technology, AI assistance, and the HarmonyOS operating system.

The Vision Smart Screen 5 SE features a MiniLED display with 4K Ultra HD resolution. It also features a high 240 Hz refresh rate for less choppy images. The display further features a peak brightness of 1000 nits and a 125,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Color reproduction is also strong at 130% of the BT.709 color gamut standard.

The television is equipped with Huawei’s Honghu processor. The chip incorporates a multitude of advanced technologies like 20-bit light control, MEMC motion smoothing, improved HDR support, SR super-resolution upscaling, and double-layer noise reduction. These technologies enhance the picture quality to become sharper and more vivid.

The brightness control and color uniformity are enhanced with the help of advanced local dimming algorithms. This leads to images with sharper edges and darker darks.

One of the finest features of the Vision Smart Screen 5 SE is the new HD AI camera. It has an f/2.0 aperture and includes a plethora of smart features. The camera can detect body movement for video calls, posture detection, home monitoring from a distance, and motion-based gaming. AI support makes these interactions more precise and quicker.
