vivo’s not slowing down. After unveiling the X200s and X200 Ultra earlier this week, a new name has popped up: vivo X200 FE. And if the latest rumor holds up, this phone isn’t entirely new—it’s a reworked version of the long-rumored X200 Pro mini.

From “Pro Mini” to “FE”?

According to insider chatter, vivo scrapped plans to launch the X200 Pro mini in India. Instead, it’s reportedly going with the X200 FE branding, along with a few strategic changes under the hood to help it hit a more competitive price point.

What’s different? For starters, the chipset. The X200 FE is said to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9400e—a chip that hasn’t been officially unveiled yet but is expected to be a lower-binned sibling of the standard Dimensity 9400. That means slightly lower performance, but hopefully better thermal efficiency or battery optimization.

Also missing: the ultrawide rear camera. The FE version will likely stick with a dual rear setup—a 50 MP main sensor and a 50 MP telephoto lens—as well as a 50 MP selfie shooter up front.

Other Leaked Specs of the vivo X200 FE:

  • 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display
  • 1216×2640 resolution
  • 120 Hz refresh rate
  • Curved-edge flat screen design
  • 90W fast wired charging

The display sounds premium, and the charging speed is right in line with what we’ve come to expect from vivo. The design is said to be “flat with curves,” suggesting a similar aesthetic to the X200s—flat screen, but rounded edges for comfort.

Launch Timeline: Soon

The X200 FE is tipped to launch in late June or early July, likely targeting the Indian market first. Given vivo’s recent momentum, this tracks with their usual release cadence. And if the pricing is aggressive, this phone could slot in nicely between budget-conscious buyers and those wanting near-flagship features without shelling out Ultra-level cash.

More leaks are bound to land soon—especially once the Dimensity 9400e gets its official debut. Stay tuned.
