The computer mouse has long had a standard design, but lately, companies have been breaking the norm and introducing mice with vertical configurations. Now, Razer has introduced its first-ever vertical mouse design under the Pro Click V2 lineup, with this new orientation of the peripheral offering a more comfortable and natural grip for users.
Razer markets the new vertical mouse as a gaming peripheral, and it is known that this configuration promises a more ergonomic design for users that could help with better gaming for longer hours.
Razer’s 1st Vertical Mouse: Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition
Razer is now part of the vertical movement as it introduced its first mouse in this orientation, the Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition. Instead of its traditional design, users may now opt for the vertical version of its gaming mouse that has left and right clickers, as well as the scroll wheel on one side in this right-handed mouse.
On its opposite side, users will find a thumb rest that also features two buttons that they may program but has a default setting as the back and forward buttons for browsers and the like.
There is also a DPI button on top of the device to change the mouse’s sensitivity, which users may set to their preferred DPI settings. According to Razer, the Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition features a six-month battery life, features three connectivity options including the HyperSpeed Wireless 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, and wired USB-C, and an AI Prompt Master.

Pro Click V2 vs. Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition
Alongside this, Razer also released the Pro Click V2, which is the standard version of the gaming mice.
Users who have problems in their wrists or want to reduce friction when using one may opt for the Pro Click V2 Vertical Edition for $120, but for those who want the standard experience, the Pro Click V2 is available for $100.
Ergonomic Options for Gaming
The standard design of computer use has since evolved to offer better experiences for users. Ergonomics is now playing a significant role in creating a computer gaming or work setup at home, which began when companies began to offer more comfortable gaming chairs that takes into account cushioning, angles, and other factors.
Peripherals have also been given the ergonomic treatment over the years, and one of the revamped devices here are the computer gaming mice, which now have options for a vertical orientation.
Many have said that using a vertical mouse can boost productivity as users need not to move their wrists more than what is needed to control the on-screen cursor. This orientation likewise provides a more comfortable grip.
Apart from this, keyboard manufacturers have also changed up the designs of their devices to offer a more ergonomic tilt, and users may pair it with wrist rests that would help keep their hands leveled to the keyboard and not bent in the process.
Moreover, users may also opt for either a monitor mount or a riser to improve the angles of their displays, making them less likely to adjust their head just to see clearly.
