Honor launched the Honor Pad GT in China, along with the Honor GT Pro smartphone. While the GT Pro is made for gaming phones like the RedMagic 10 Pro, the Pad GT also has some unique features of its own.

The tablet is clearly built with performance. It features an 11.5-inch IPS display that has a 2800 x 1840 resolution. The display features a 144 Hz refresh rate, which provides silky-smooth graphics. It also features a 1,500:1 contrast ratio and up to 500 nits of peak brightness, and it is ideal for gaming and media.

Honor Launches the New Honor Pad GT with Breathtaking Specs

Internally, the Honor Pad GT is running the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chip. It relies on a 4 nm process and has eight CPU cores. Four Cortex-A715 cores clock at 3.35 GHz and four Cortex-A510 cores clock at 2.2 GHz. This is performance- and power-balanced as it tries to achieve equal weightage of both aspects.

To keep things cool, Honor includes a vapor chamber cooling system. That keeps the tablet responsive even after hours of gaming. All of this is fueled by a 10,100 mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. That translates into less time at the charging point and more time spent using the tablet.

Pad GT supports Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6, ensuring fast and stable connectivity. For cameras, there is a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP selfie camera. The phone is also thin at 6.12 mm and weighs just 480 grams.

Surprisingly, Honor Pad GT seems to look almost the same as the Honor Pad V9. In fact, it is quite likely that it is a rebadged product. Specs and design are almost the same as the previous year’s model.

Price-wise, the Pad GT starts at CNY 1,699 (about $233) for the model with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage. It also has pricier versions like up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage, which come for CNY 2,599 (about $357).

As of now, the Honor Pad GT is available for purchase only in China. There have been no reports of an international launch. However, with its celebrity status features and affordable price, it might be a great option for one who needs an efficient but lightweight tablet.
