More than a year since Epic Games shared “Fortnite Festival” to the battle royale, one of its most requested features was made available for gamers to enjoy, and it is giving instruments a new purpose in-game. Instead of simply using them as a way to play music inside the battle royale mode, players may now equip instruments and other ‘Festival’ items as a weapon in the form of the pickaxe or as a back bling.

It has been one of the most popular demands from gamers who have been enjoying “Fortnite Festival’s” experiences, as not only can it play music when one is trying to survive in the battle royale.

‘Fortnite’ and its ‘Festival’ Experience from Epic Games

Collaborations and promoting more pop culture have been one of the top experiences available on “Fortnite” for many years now, but one of its biggest inclusions in the game is the famed “Fortnite Festival.” Back in December 2023, Epic Games debuted “Fortnite Festival’s” Season 1 which featured The Weeknd as the first artist to headline the special experience.

Previously, Epic Games collaborated with real-life artists to be featured on “Fortnite” as character cosmetics or entities that appear in-game including Ariana Grande, BTS, Marshmello, Major Lazer, Travis Scott, Bruno Mars, and more. However, the special “Festival” showcase, featured the likes of Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, Metallica, and more.

Not only that, but Epic Games also centered on adding a special highlight to instruments via “Fortnite Festival” which featured Fender’s classic strings, support for old “Rock Band 4” guitars, and other experiences. More than a year after it made “Festival” a regular part of the battle royale experience, Epic Games transformed it yet again to make these items more practical and add more to one’s fashionable look in-game.
