Samsung continues to prioritize user security by rolling out timely updates across its product lineup. The South Korean tech giant has expanded the reach of its December 2024 security patch. Bringing it to three additional devices. Here’s everything you need to know about the update, including the devices it covers and the improvements it delivers.

Samsung Enhances Security with December 2024 Update for Select Devices

The latest models to get the December 2024 patch are:

  • Galaxy Tab S10+ 5G
  • Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G
  • Galaxy Tab S9+ 5G

The updates come with build numbers X828USQU2AXK8, X518USQS8BXK6, and X818USQU5BXKC. Right now, they are available only in the United States. Samsung plans to release the patch in other regions soon.

This update fixes over 45 security issues. It is part of Samsung’s ongoing commitment to keeping its devices secure.

How to Update

If you own one of these devices, you may have already received a notification. If not, you can check for the update manually:

  • Go to Settings.
  • Tap Software Update.
  • Select Download and Install.
