Earlier today, Honor took the wraps off its Honor 300 series composed of three flagships. The Honor 300, 300 Pro, and 300 Ultra drew big attention in China with their competitive specifications and attractive price. However, they were not the only stars presented by Honor today. While the Honor X9c flies lower than its distant siblings, it is also another interesting addition to the mid-range market. The device launched today in Malaysia with some interesting specs like the Dimensity 7025-Ultra and a huge battery. It resembles the Honor X60 but doubles the bet with an extra camera.
Honor X9c Smart Specifications
Under the hood, the Honor X9c Smart comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra chipset. It features an octa-core CPU with two high-performance Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz and six energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz. For graphics, the Dimensity 7025 Ultra integrates the IMG BXM-8-256 GPU, operating at up to 950 MHz. It’s a decent chipset for basic app usage and also for some casual gaming with moderate graphics. The phone is paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage.
The Honor X9c Smart brings the traditional design that we have seen in multiple Honor smartphones, and also on Huawei phones from the past. It has a big circular disc island that houses just two cameras and an LED flash at the top. One of the cameras is a 108 MP module, and the second snapper is a 5 MP ultrawide module.
It would be better to have an ultrawide camera with at least 8 MP of resolution. While the 5 MP will do the job, the images will probably lack the quality we see on modern devices. In any case, this is a low-end smartphone, so be glad to have an ultrawide camera and not just a decorative secondary camera.
The Honor X9c Smart comes with a large 6.8-inch LCD screen with a 1080p resolution. The display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 850 nits. The phone runs Android 14-based MagicOS 8 out of the box. It comes with some features for image improvement, and the virtual RAM feature is also present allowing you to take a portion of storage for an extra 8 GB of RAM. The phone draws power from a huge 5,800 mAh battery with 35W fast charging. Last, but not least, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Honor Malaysia will sell the phone in Ocean Cyan, and Moonlight White colors. However, the local price will be seen only on December 11, when the orders will begin.
