Apple Earth Day Promo: Trade in Old Accessories For 10% Off New Ones—Here’s How to Get Discounts

Apple is reportedly starting an Earth Day promotion, and this will allow customers to trade in their old and used accessories for as much as 10% in discounts.

Not only will users get the chance to earn discounts on their next accessory purchases via Apple, but they could also take part in this recycling campaign of the company.

Apple Earth Day Promo: Trade in Old Accessories For 10% Off

According to the latest report from Apple analyst Mark Gurman via X, Apple has plans to launch an in-store promotion, which is speculated to be part of the Earth Day campaign to recycle old accessories.

Users will be given a chance to take part in the campaign by trading in their old and used accessories for as much as a 10% discount for their next purchase.

Gurman shared that Apple will only accept eligible accessories to trade in, and these include the AirPods, AirTags, Apple Pencil, Apple Watch bands, smartphone cases, MacBook cases, iPad cases, and other Mac peripherals.

That being said, there are many devices or accessories that are not eligible for the program, including data cables, power bricks, the wired EarPods, and others that were not mentioned above.

Recycle With Apple and Reportedly Earn Discounts

Users only need to head to their nearest physical Apple retail store and bring their devices to join the promotion and recycling program.

Moreover, it is also important to note that Apple will only offer a maximum $20 discount for the items that people bring for the trade-in despite them being valued more than the maximum.

Apple’s Trade-In Program Is Also Available

Over the years, Apple has increased the trade-in values for purchasing the new iPhone, iPad, or Mac models, especially if they are fairly new.

Moreover, the company also does not discriminate against the type of device you previously owned and want to trade in with them to purchase the latest iPhones, especially for smartphones. Back in 2021, Apple opened its doors for Android users to enjoy the trade-in program as well, accepting the flagship models from the Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy, and others in exchange for a new iPhone.
