If you are a Spotify Premium user and have noticed something weird in your experience, particularly if you are hearing ads playing in between your streams, then you are not alone as there is a bug plaguing the platform.
Spotify has already acknowledged the issue, with the company claiming it is looking to get to the bottom of the problem to revert the experience back to normal.
However, the most bizarre thing here is that users have been suffering from this issue for over four weeks now, and still, the problem persists.
Spotify Premium Bug That Plays Ads Now Acknowledged After 4 Weeks
Spotify has now acknowledged the issue that many Premium subscribers have reported, as advertisements have made their way to paying users’ streaming experiences. One of the main reasons for getting Spotify Premium is to avoid ads apart from being able to have unlimited skips or getting the chance to choose songs to play.
However, that main feature of Premium is now experiencing problems, and the promise of enjoying music streaming ad-free is haunting users as the pesky inserts of audio advertisements have appeared on their experiences.
Spotify’s Community discussion about this issue saw reports dating back almost four weeks ago.

Spotify Is Now Working on a Fix for Premium Ad-Playing Fiasco
According to the company, they are now “checking them out,” and are currently working on a fix that will finally return the experience back to normal. There are still no further updates from the company as of press time.
What this means is that there is no definite timeline as to how long this problem will take to get fixed.
Spotify Premium and What It Offers Subscribers
Getting Premium on Spotify or any other streaming platforms is still the best way of experiencing the top features and experiences. For years, Spotify kept Premium as its top tier, but that may be about to change as the company is reportedly experimenting on the “Music Pro” tier, which is an add-on that features the much-awaited “Lossless Audio'” experience.
Moreover, Premium guarantees users that all the available features on the platform, including experimental ones via the beta, are theirs to use at any given time, making this a must-have for heavy music-listening users.
The company has also made certain features exclusive for a brief time, with lyrics for songs being initially made limited to Free users while Premium got unlimited access before it was eventually made available for everyone.
There are other perks of getting Premium on Spotify, with the most important one being its ad-free listening experiences, but another massive feature, the Audiobooks, is also exclusive to the paid tier.
