Last month, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25. The new flagship comes with exciting features, powered by One UI 7. Fans are eager for the update, expecting better performance and new enhancements.

However, not all Galaxy users will get the full experience. While One UI 7 will be available for older devices, some advanced features will remain exclusive to the Galaxy S25. This means older models will have limitations.

One UI 7 update: What It Means for Older Devices

Samsung aims to keep a consistent interface, but not all features will transfer to older phones. Tech enthusiast Tarun Vats shared details on X (formerly Twitter) about these missing features.

One major omission is 10-bit HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) video recording. This feature improves video quality, making colors more vibrant. Unfortunately, it will not be available for older Galaxy S models, even with One UI 7.

Another missing feature is natural language search in the Gallery app. This function allows users to find photos using conversational queries. Some beta testers accessed it on older devices. However, reports suggest it may be removed in the final version.

Impact on Older Galaxy Models

Older Samsung devices, like the Galaxy S23 and S22, will also miss some Camera Assistant features. These tools enhance photo and video settings. Additionally, the HLG format will not be available for older models, limiting video recording capabilities.

What to Expect from One UI 7

Despite some missing features, One UI 7 will still improve many devices. Users can expect performance boosts, security updates, and a smoother interface. The update will enhance the overall experience, even without Galaxy S25-exclusive features.
