All Games Shown in Sony’s February 2025 State of Play

After a troublesome weekend with big issues on PSN, Sony decided to prize players with a new online event. Sony held the first State of Play of 2025 this Wednesday (12). The online event showcased upcoming games for PlayStation. Many players were eager for it, especially those who felt the PlayStation 5 had been suffering with a weak game lineup. Unfortunately, those waiting for big PlayStation reveals, or even trailers of upcoming PS titles will cry this time. We did not see games such as Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Ghost of Yotei, or the rumored God of War Collection. Despite this, it was a great event with games from third parties like Onimusha 5, new IPs, and even a launch date for Lost Soul Aside.

Monster Hunter Wilds

A new launch trailer for Monster Runger Wilds. The game arrives on February 28 for PlayStation 5. The developer also reveals a new free monster, Mizutsune, for the base game, and an extra update will come in the second half of the year.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance

We saw a gameplay trailer for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. The game will launch on August 29 this year.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

The new Sonic racing game is set to launch early on February 21. It will give players a chance to experience the high-speed action title. Fans of the franchise can look forward to intense races, iconic characters, and thrilling tracks inspired by the Sonic universe.

Digimon Story Time Stranger

Digimon Story: Time Stranger has been confirmed for release this year. Fans of the franchise can look forward to a new adventure, promising an exciting story and fresh gameplay features.

Lost Soul Aside

A gameplay video for Lost Soul Aside was shown. The game is set to launch on May 30, 2025, for PC and PlayStation 5, bringing fast-paced action and stunning visuals to players.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

A demo for Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will arrive on Friday (14). As a result, Players will get an early taste of the game’s action-packed adventure before its full release.

Ichiban + Dave the Dive

The collaboration brings Yakuza’sa Like a Dragon and Infinite Wealth’s protagonist, Ichiban, will arrive in April this year for PS4 and PS5. It brings exclusive content for players on both platforms.

Split gate 2

State of Play brings a glimpse of Splitgate 2, along with the announcement of the alpha test date for PS5. It will take place on February 27. Therefore, players will get an early look at the game’s new features and gameplay mechanics.

Borderlands 4

Borderlands marks its return this year with Borderlands 4. The game will be available on September 23. It will get its own State of Play event. Fans can look forward to new adventures, characters, and exciting gameplay in the series.

Split Fiction

From the creators of It Takes Two, there is a trailer for Split Fiction. The game will launch in March this year, bringing an exciting new experience for players. As usual, the game will have local coop and online coop as one of its big focus.

Directive 8020

From the studio behind Until Dawn and The Quarry, Directive 8020 will launch on October 2. Pre-orders are already available for those eager to dive into this new horror experience.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic

A new Five Nights at Freddy’s game marks presence on this state of play. It comes alongside the reveal that it will launch on June 13. Fans can expect more thrilling horror and suspense in this latest installment of the franchise.

The Midnight Walk

The Midnight Walk shows an interesting concept of art with a focus on horror. It’s an interesting game that brings an unusual frame rate that results in a stop motion effect. The game is coming from EA and will launch on May 8 this year.

Konami’s game, where players take on the role of an octopus, was also featured in the presentation.

Warriors: Abyss

Koei Tecmo’s game was showcased and is already available for PS4 and PS5. Players can jump in and experience the action right away.

Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny

Several years passed since the launch of Onimusha Warlords Remastered. Now, Capcom re-visits the series once again with a remaster for Onimusha 2. It also seems to be preparing the ground for the launch of Onimusha 5? Perhaps, we will see more of the series’ games being remastered in the near future.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Capcom revealed a new trailer for Onimusha Way of the Sword which confirms the game’s protagonist and also sets the launch for 2026. We can also see some of the gameplay in this video.

Tides of Annihilation

An interesting reveal was the new IP Tides of Annihilation. We see a new female warrior fighting against the most varied forms of enemies in a fantasy-medieval environment. Certainly a hack ‘n’ slash game to be excited for.

Metal Gear Solid Delta

Another trailer shows more of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater in all its glory. We can see the glorious remake featuring stunning graphics. The definitive way to re-visit and also to know this legendary classic game.

Hell is Us

Hell is Us will launch on September 4.

Lies of P: Overture

A DLC for Lies of P, titled Overture, will release in the winter of 2025. Fans can look forward to new challenges and story expansions in the dark and twisted world of the game.

Dreams of Another

Dreams of Another, from Q-Games and Baiyon, is now available for pre-order and is set to launch later this year. Players can look forward to a unique and immersive experience.

Days Gone Remastered

A nice surprise is the remaster of Days Gone. Sony pays a visit to the 2019 game with new graphic improvements and gameplay mechanics for the PS5 and PC. Is this a test for a possible Days Gone 2? Time will tell.

Stellar Blade + Nikke

We saw a new collaboration between Stellar Blade and Nikke, along with the announcement that the base game will launch for PC in June this year.

Saros

Sony’s new game, Saros, is s a single-player action title and is Housemarque’s big new project. Judging by the trailer, this will be another game that embraces the roguelike genre.

MindsEye

The New Game from GTA V producer will launch in July this year.

Metal Eden

We saw an enticing gameplay trailer for the shooter game Metal Eden, along with the confirmation that it will launch on May 6. Players can expect intense action and engaging mechanics.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage

During the State of Play, a quick reminder! The next game from Don’t Nod, the creators of Life is Strange, will have its first part available on February 18. Fans can look forward to a new story-driven adventure.

PS Plus Games

Sony also took to the State of Play to push its services forward. The company states that several games are coming to the PlayStation Plus service. The list includes Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Blue Prince, and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. Subscribers can look forward to these exciting titles joining the lineup.
