iPhone 17 Pro May Feature Apple Logo in a Surprising New Spot

Apple might be making a small but eye-catching change to the iPhone 17 Pro: moving the Apple logo. Normally, the logo sits right in the center of the back panel. But a recent leak suggests that the iPhone 17 Pro could place it lower down than usual. Even though it may not seem too big a deal, this shift could have a bigger impact than you’d expect.

The change is reportedly due to a new camera layout. It is expected that the iPhone 17 Pro camera will remain at the top-left corner, like the iPhone 16 Pro. But this time, the camera bump may have a longer or wider shape, possibly with a fresh two-tone look. That extra size means the Apple logo needs to move out of the way, and down it goes.

What This Means for MagSafe Cases

This design change could cause trouble for case-makers. Most iPhone cases today, specifically for transparent ones, are designed with a round opening that reveals the Apple logo. The openings are centered in the middle of the phone, where the logo has always been.

If the logo is to be moved lower, it won’t align anymore with the openings in the cases. Brands that make MagSafe-compatible cases may have to change how they place the white magnet ring that shows off the logo. Some might even redesign the entire back of their cases to make the logo visible again.

Sure, it’s just a logo, but on an iPhone, it’s also a style statement. Apple knows this. That clean, simple Apple icon often serves as a centerpiece, especially on clear cases. People like seeing the logo. It’s part of the iPhone’s look and brand.

So, even a small shift like this one could make the phone feel fresh, or throw off the balance for some users and accessory makers.

What’s Next?

This news comes from a leaker known as Majin Bu, who has shared fairly reliable tips before. Nevertheless, confirmation from Apple remains unavailable, so any assumption about design direction should be approached with skepticism. If true, it could mean a new direction in iPhone design, even if it’s just one small move on the back of the phone.

Manufacturers, particularly those specializing in protective accessories, should remain attentive. An external alteration may be underway, and based on speculative imagery, its position could be unexpectedly lower than previous iterations.
