HyperOS 2.2 Rolling Out to Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO Phones in Europe

Xiaomi has finally started seeding its latest HyperOS 2.2 update to global users, apart from China. The update has started in Europe and will be released in other regions over the next few weeks and months. This is welcome news for owners of Xiaomi devices who have been waiting for new features and performance improvements.

The HyperOS 2.2 update is now finally official for a shortlist of Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices in Europe. These include:

This release includes various system wide changes designed to improve HyperOS stability and usability. Xiaomi has prioritized optimizing performance as well as addressing persistent problems.
One of the major improvements is the smoother performance of animations so that they are more responsive and less laggy. Landscape mode in certain apps is also better. Screen flicker and visual bugs while opening or closing applications have also become better, as irritating as they once were. Gesture controls have been improved, and previous display problems have been fixed.

Xiaomi also renovated icons and wallpapers. Wallpapers now include better blur effects. Lock screen wallpapers have lens style effects, while home screen icons are easier to read thanks to new shadow enhancements.

For visually impaired individuals, the TalkBack mode has also been improved to provide more clearer feedback and navigation indications.
