New Video Reveals Galaxy Z Fold7 Dummy Next to Z Fold6

Samsung is getting ready to unveil the next generation of its foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold7, on July 9. With different leaks and rumors, we already know a very clear picture of what this new smartphone is going to offer.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7: Everything We Know So Far

One of the most exciting behind-the-scenes previews comes from Korean YouTube channel, TheSINZA. They have recently released a hands-on preview of a dummy model of the Galaxy Z Fold7. The dummy is not a real Samsung device but is built based on all the leaks and reports that have arrived until now.

Even though it is not the real deal, the dummy significantly resembles what the completed phone would look like. In contrast to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold6, this new phone appears slender and classy.

Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold7 will be much thinner. It could be a whopping 9mm when folded. Open, it could be as thin as 4.5mm. That’s a big difference compared to the Galaxy Z Fold6 that was 12.1mm folded and 5.6mm open. These are going to make the Fold7 seem very sleek and more grippy.

First Look: Galaxy Z Fold7 Dummy Compared Directly to Z Fold6

The weight will also be reduced. Galaxy Z Fold7 will weigh only 215 grams. That is not just lighter than the Fold6 (239 grams), but even than the Galaxy S25 Ultra (218 grams). A light, slim foldable phone is sure to impress users who want both portability and power.

Samsung is also improving the displays. The cover screen can go up to 6.5 inches using a classic 21:9 aspect ratio. Unfolded, the inner screen can be a large 8.2 inches. This generation, the front camera will have a punch-hole design rather than the under-screen camera found on earlier models. For comparison purposes, the Galaxy Z Fold6 had a 6.3-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch inner screen.

Storage sizes will be available in 256GB, 512GB, and even the humongous 1TB variant for users who need a lot of space. The phone will arrive in Blue Shadow and Jet Black colors. As far as processing is involved, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is reported to be driven by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, offering high-end performance.

With these features, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 is going to be among the most awaited foldable phones of 2025.
