Infinix Hot 60 Pro+: A Phone So Thin, It Might Slip Between the Cracks

In a year when smartphone makers are pushing limits on AI and camera tech, Infinix is quietly trying to steal the spotlight with something far more tangible: thinness. And weight. According to Ice Universe, who shared a hands-on comparison video and some exclusive photos on GSMArena, the unannounced Infinix Hot 60 Pro+ is not only lighter than the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, but nearly matches it in slimness. How close are we talking? The Hot 60 Pro+ clocks in at 5.95mm thick, just a hair—0.15mm—thicker than Samsung’s already razor-thin 5.8mm S25 Edge. And at 154.6g, it undercuts Samsung’s 163.8g weight. It’s an impressive physical profile, no question. But it also raises a very practical one: what’s inside this thing?
Lighter, Thinner—But How Big Is the Battery?
Samsung managed just 3,900mAh in the S25 Edge, a fact that disappointed many despite the phone’s engineering finesse. The question now is whether Infinix has found a way to deliver both design and endurance—or if compromises are hiding beneath that slim shell.
Hey, guys!I have the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+ and the SAMSUNG S25 Edge. Now I might be the only person on the earth who both have the thinnest flat screen phone and the thinnest curved screen phone. Compared to each other, the thickness of S25 Edge is only 0.2mm less than that one,… pic.twitter.com/DKblkosAVT

So far, Infinix has been silent on battery capacity. That’s not unusual pre-launch, but it’s telling. The previous model, the Hot 50 Pro+, was 6.8mm thick and packed a 5,000mAh cell. With the Hot 60 Pro+ shaving almost an entire millimeter off its body, something had to give. Or did it?
A source close to the company claims the phone will feature a “massive battery,” though what that actually means—4,500mAh? More?—is anyone’s guess. It’s possible the phone will use a high-density silicon-carbon battery, a trend that’s gaining traction in 2025 for its ability to deliver more power in less space. But again, that’s speculation for now.

Still No Official Launch Date—But It’s Coming
Despite the mounting leaks and hands-on videos, Infinix has yet to even acknowledge the existence of the Hot 60 Pro+ publicly. There’s no launch date, no official specs sheet, and no teasers. That said, the volume and consistency of leaked imagery and measurements suggest the phone is nearly ready for announcement—possibly in early June.
Yesterday’s video, along with new images showing the phone beside everyday objects (four credit cards, three coins), reinforce its ultra-thin profile. And while no one’s calling this a flagship killer yet, it’s clear Infinix wants to make a statement in the midrange with more than just specs.
Final Thought
Designing a phone that’s thinner and lighter than one of Samsung’s most refined flagships is no small feat. But as always, specs on paper—or caliper—only tell part of the story. We’ll need to see how the Hot 60 Pro+ performs in real-world use, especially in battery endurance and thermal management.
Still, for a brand often dismissed in premium circles, Infinix has put the industry on notice. The Hot 60 Pro+ may not make the loudest entrance—but it could very well be the sharpest.
