Motorola is getting ready to launch its next smartphone, the Edge 2025. Trusted sources have shared early details about its design and features. While some parts stay the same as last year’s model, there are also some exciting upgrades.
Motorola Edge 2025 Design: Small Changes Up Front, Big Changes in Back
The front of the Edge 2025 looks very similar to the Edge 2024. It has a curved display and a punch-hole camera in the center. The power and volume buttons are on the right side. On the left side, Motorola is keeping the “Quick Button,” which lets you open apps or tools quickly. You can set it to open your email, camera, or other features.
The back of the phone, however, looks different. The Edge 2025 now has a triple camera setup instead of two cameras. Because of this, the camera module is bigger, and the LED flash has a new design. The back also has a leather-like finish and comes in a stylish green color. It’s not clear yet if other color options will be available.
Expected Features and Specs
Motorola has not shared the official specs yet. Still, reports suggest that the Edge 2025 will offer strong features. It’s likely to include an OLED display with a high refresh rate for smooth scrolling. The fingerprint sensor will be under the screen. The phone is also expected to have IP68 dust and water resistance.
The battery is rumored to be 5,000mAh. It should support 68W fast charging with a cable and 15W wireless charging. Out of the box, it will likely run Android 15.
The Edge 2024 featured a 6.6-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate and Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip. It had 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its cameras included a 50MP main lens, a 13MP wide/macro camera, and a 32MP front camera. It also supported 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and Dolby Atmos sound.
Release Date
Motorola has not confirmed a release date yet. However, since the Edge 2024 launched in June, the new model is likely to arrive around the same time.
