Huawei is once again in the news with its upcoming Pura 80 series. The latest series will hit the market in the second quarter of this year. The series will consist of three models: Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, and Pura 80 Ultra. The Pura 80 Pro is the most anticipated among them. Why? Due to its powerful camera setup.
Huawei Pura 80 Series Set to Have Improved Camera and Display
Huawei has provided the Pura 80 Pro with a custom 50-megapixel, 1-inch RYYB sensor. Early rumors pointed to the presence of Sony’s IMX989 sensor. However, Huawei used its own sensor in the retail version.
The RYYB sensor has a Red-Yellow-Yellow-Blue color filter. This design lets more light in compared to conventional RGB sensors. As a result, the phone takes much better photos in low light.
That’s not all. The Pura 80 Pro also includes a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. Both of those lenses also use the same RYYB filter. That means that all three of the cameras offer better light sensitivity. The array ensures bright, clear imagery even in tough lighting conditions.
Huawei Gears Up to Redefine Mobile Photography with the Pura 80 Series
Huawei seems to be targeting consumers who are serious about phone photography. With a camera setup so high-end, the Pura 80 Pro could turn out to be a top choice for phone photographers.
The display is another standout feature. The Pura 80 Pro will boast a 6.78-inch OLED screen. It comes with 1.5K resolution and is backed by LTPO technology. LTPO allows the display to dynamically change its refresh rate. This saves battery life and makes the phone feel smoother to use.
In design and hardware, Huawei is aiming to touch new heights. With its very own camera sensor being developed and using top-of-the-line display tech, the company wants to stand apart from the crowd.
The Pura 80 Pro would be a major comeback to high-end smartphone glory for Huawei. With strong camera features and an excellent display, there is a lot to look forward to.
