On March 25, during the Boao Forum for Asia vivo will show off their first-ever mixed reality (MR) headset, the vivo Vision. Now, don’t get too excited just yet – they’re saying the actual prototype won’t be ready until mid-2025. But, still, it’s a peek into where they’re heading and it surely looks very interesting!
Why delve into MR you might ask? Well, Vivo’s thinking ahead. They’re trying to get really good at this thing called “real-time spatial computing,” which, in plain terms, means making tech that understands the world around it. They figure this is gonna be huge for future robots and the vivo vision headset is going to be their first try.

And speaking of robots, they’re also launching the Vivo Robotics Laboratory. Yeah, you heard that right. They’re getting into robot brains and eyes. They’re gonna use all their AI and camera know-how, plus what they learn from the MR headset, to make robots that are, well, smarter.
Oh, and just to remind everyone they still make phones, they’re also announcing the Vivo X200 Ultra, a new high-end phone coming out next month. So, basically, Vivo’s saying they’re not just a smartphone company anymore. They’re going big on this whole MR and robotics thing. They’re basically trying to build the future, one robot brain at a time.
