Reddit’s New Features Help Users Avoid Breaking Rules: Post Recovery, Rule Check, and More

Different social media platforms have varying rules that many users seem to have trouble following, but Reddit is looking to change this by leveraging new tools on the platform. The latest update from Reddit adds new features that aim to inform users about the platform’s rules and regulations.

While long-time Redditors and contributors may already be aware of these, one of the main targets of this update are the lurkers or casual users who are not that aware of the right behavior on the platform.

Reddit’s New Features Help Avoid Breaking the Rules

The company has announced that there are new tools to help users stay informed and updated about the company’s rules and regulations, including its Community Guidelines.

Users on Reddit now have three tools that the company has developed, and the first of which is the “Post Check” feature that will pre-screen their posts and tell them if it violates any rules on the community or the platform in general.

Here, users are advised by Reddit to “review” their content before posting them, all to avoid breaking the rules or Community Guidelines.

There’s No More Excuse If You Get Violations

On the other hand, there is also a “Post Recovery” tool which will give users a review of a post that has been taken down by moderators or the platform. This also gives users the chance to repost it to other subreddits where it may possible not incur a violation.

There is also “Post Insights,” which gives Redditors an idea of their post’s engagements or traction. Lastly, there are two other tools called the “Clear Community Info” and “Community Suggestions,” which aim to help users find the right subreddit for the information they want to share.

Reddit and its Community Guidelines

The Community Guidelines are on every social media platform for a reason, and their goal is to maintain peace and respect and avoid offending users or communities. That being said, Reddit has been adamant about upholding these guidelines over the years, and while there are moderators for these, sometimes the company steps in to take down posts.

That being said, the Community Guidelines are not entirely restrictive for users, particularly as they just serve as a guide towards having a serene and enjoyable experience on the platform.

A mature and respectful experience is something which Reddit has stood for over the years, and its rules or Community Guidelines have helped in maintaining it, with violators immediately reprimanded by the company.

Now, the company has developed on various tools to help users be mindful of their posts and activity on Reddit, with these new features looking to continue upholding respect and proper behavior on the platform.
