The wait for the stable One UI 7 update for the Galaxy S24 series is nearly over. After a lengthy beta testing period, Samsung is expected to roll out the official update sometime in March. The One UI 7 beta for the S24 series began in early December 2024, and the extended testing has frustrated many users. However, a Samsung Community moderator has confirmed that the stable version is coming soon. The release of the fifth beta shortly after the fourth also indicates that the final version is imminent.

Here’s how to get your Galaxy S24 ready for the One UI 7 update:

Back up your data: While data loss during updates is rare, it’s always best to be safe. Use Samsung’s Temporary cloud backup (Settings > Device care > Maintenance mode > Temporary cloud backup) for free online storage up to 100GB per file for 30 days. Alternatively, use Smart Switch or a USB cable to back up to a PC.

Update apps and software: Ensure all your apps are up to date by checking the Galaxy Store and Play Store. Also, confirm you have the latest available software for your device by going to Settings > Software updates > Download and install.
