Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) will be launching for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in the fall of 2025. However, PC gamers might have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the highly anticipated game. According to Andrew Paul, the CEO of Corsair, the PC version of GTA 6 could launch in early 2026.
GTA 6 PC Release Date: What We Know So Far
Rockstar Games has a well-established history of prioritizing console releases before bringing their titles to PC. This pattern has been evident with their previous blockbuster games. For instance, Grand Theft Auto 5 was initially released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2013, while the PC version didn’t arrive until 2015. Similarly, Red Dead Redemption 2 was launched for consoles in 2018, but PC players had to wait until 2019 to experience the game on their platform of choice.
Given this trend, it is not surprising that GTA 6 might follow a similar path. If the prediction holds true, PC gamers can expect to play the game roughly a year after its console debut.
Corsair CEO’s Statement: What It Means
The speculation about GTA 6’s PC release date stems from a statement made by Andrew Paul during Corsair’s earnings meeting. While this insight is interesting, it’s important to note that Paul’s comment is not an official confirmation from Rockstar Games. Instead, it appears to be an informed industry prediction based on Rockstar’s previous launch strategies.
As of now, Rockstar has not provided any official statements regarding the PC release, meaning that the timeframe could still shift depending on development progress and other factors.

The PC Community’s Anticipation
Despite the potential delay, the PC gaming community is eagerly awaiting GTA 6. The modding scene, in particular, has been a significant part of GTA 5’s longevity, with user-generated content bringing fresh experiences to the game even years after its release. If GTA 6 follows in its predecessor’s footsteps, the PC version could introduce an even more expansive and immersive modding experience.
Final Thoughts
PC players might understandably feel disappointed by a delayed release, but history suggests the wait could be worth it. A more polished and optimized game with enhanced features would ultimately provide a better gaming experience.
For now, all we can do is wait for Rockstar to make an official announcement. Until then, what are your thoughts on this staggered release strategy? Do you think it’s a smart move, or would you prefer a simultaneous launch across all platforms? Let us know in the comments!
