Apple TV+ Is Now Available on Android, Google Play Store—Here’s How to Access

There has been a way to watch Apple TV+ on Android in recent years, but the Cupertino-based tech giant’s newest move is the first time its prized streaming app will officially be on a rival’s platform.

What this means is that users who want to enjoy what Apple TV+ has to offer or those who are already subscribers may now enjoy the app natively on their Android devices, straight from the Google Play Store.

Google already had the Apple TV+ app before but only for the Android TV and Google TV platforms, which makes it exclusively available on the bigger screens. So far, it has proven to be a wholistic experience for users.

Apple TV+ Is Now on Android via Google Play Store

After years of being available only on the web for Android users, Apple is now sharing the Apple TV+ streaming experience directly to iOS’ rival. According to 9to5Google, Android smartphones and tablets are now eligible to download and run the Apple TV+ app for free, complete with all the experiences and features it has to offer iOS users.

Previously, users could only access the Apple TV+ via the web if they wanted to watch via their smartphones, and Google’s Progressive Web Apps (PWA) made it possible to transform the experience into an app-like access available on the home screen.

However, Apple stepped up the experience by offering a native app for the Android platform in this release, offering Apple TV+’s massive library, as well as the MLS Season Pass experience to enjoy.

Here’s How to Access Apple TV+ on Android

Users no longer need to worry about how they can enjoy the Apple TV+ experience on Android as it is now available directly on the Google Play Store.

The subscription already includes the hundreds of movies and shows from its catalog, Friday Night Baseball from the MLB, content that is available to rent, an additional subscription to the MLS Season Pass, and a dedicated smartphone and tablet interface.

Apple TV+ and What It Has to Offer

Apple TV+ is your typical, run-of-the-mill streaming platform that offers on-demand shows, which allows users to watch their preferred movies and series over the internet. It has since been lauded for the different types of shows it offers as it has shown diversity over the years, with Apple Originals sharing quality production and story for all.

The streaming platform has been optimized for the Apple ecosystem over the years, making it a seamless app to enjoy on iPhones, iPads, Macs, the Apple TV devices, and for non-Apple users, the web. That being said, it only offers a seven-day free trial which is shortened from its previous one-year experience. This has previously been decreased to only three months, and then one month.

It is also important to try out Apple TV+ as it offers an enjoyable entertainment experience with its award-winning content, with the company recently earning a record-breaking 72 Emmy nominations with series like “The Morning Show,” “Silo,” and more.

These experiences are now available on Android via the Google Play Store, complete with a dedicated native experience to enjoy.
