Farewell to Updates: Which Samsung Models Make the Cut?

Samsung is actively developing the Android 15-based One UI 7 update, while Google is already working on Android 16, expected in Q2 2025. However, some Samsung devices will reach the end of their OS update support with One UI 7 as their final major upgrade.

Samsung’s OS Update Policy

Samsung provides a clear update policy at launch, ensuring four years of major OS updates for most devices. Entry-level models usually get fewer updates.

While One UI 7 has not yet rolled out, several Samsung phones will not receive Android 16. They will still get security updates, but no further OS upgrades.
