Get Ready: Xiaomi Resumes HyperOS Updates This February

Xiaomi has delayed its software updates starting on January 28, 2025, because of the Chinese New Year holidays. Many users are waiting for updates, including the January 2025 security patch, HyperOS 2.1 for global users, and HyperOS 2 updates for some devices. It is worth noting that the company did not delay the update due to any technical error. Users who are still waiting to receive the update will soon get the latest software on their devices.

When Will Updates Start Again?

Xiaomi will resume its updates in February 2025, after the Chinese New Year holidays. During this time, Xiaomi usually reduces OTA updates, beta releases, and HyperOS development. This affects both China and Global ROM timelines. The global rollout of HyperOS 2.1, which was planned for mid-February, has been delayed due to the holiday break.

Which Updates Are Delayed?

January 2025 Security Patch: Many devices have not yet received the January security update. This update is important for fixing security issues and bugs in the system.
Global Release of HyperOS 2.1: The rollout of HyperOS 2.1 for global users was supposed to start in mid-February but is now delayed.
