In October 2023, WhatsApp introduced a feature for Android users that many had been waiting for—multi-account support. This allows users to operate two different WhatsApp accounts on the same smartphone. It eliminates the need for app cloning or using tricks like the WhatsApp Business app. However, iPhone users have not yet received this feature. That could soon change.

WhatsApp to Bring Multi-Account Support to iPhones Soon

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now testing multi-account support for iPhones. This means iPhone users may soon be able to use two WhatsApp accounts on one device. Each account would be linked to a different phone number. The feature will work the same way it does on Android.

This development was spotted in version 25.2.10.70 of WhatsApp’s beta app for iOS. However, it is not yet available for beta testers. Users in the beta program will have to wait for future updates to try it out. Once testing is complete, WhatsApp will likely roll out the feature to all iPhone users worldwide. This process could take a few months.

Multi-account support on iOS will make life easier for many users. Currently, iPhone users have to rely on workarounds to manage multiple WhatsApp accounts. Some use the WhatsApp Business app as a second account. Others resort to cloning apps, which can be unreliable. With the new feature, switching between accounts will be much simpler and faster.

This update will be especially helpful for those who juggle personal and professional accounts. It will also benefit users who keep separate accounts for different purposes, like travel or business. By bringing this feature to iPhones, WhatsApp is closing the gap between Android and iOS, offering the same convenience to all users.

While the release date is not confirmed, the testing phase is a good sign. Millions of iPhone users are eagerly waiting for this feature, and it could make managing multiple accounts more straightforward than ever. Stay tuned for updates as WhatsApp continues to develop and refine this exciting addition.
