Meanwhile, Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2500 processor is not ready yet. It is now expected to debut in Samsung’s foldable devices later this year. This delay gave Qualcomm the chance to solidify its position. Last year, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 already captured 70% of the premium chipset market. Now, with the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra all powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm is set to dominate even more.
Qualcomm’s recent financial results highlight its growing success. The company reported $9.39 billion in revenue last quarter, an 11% increase from the previous year. Revenue from its smartphone business rose 12%, reaching $5.89 billion. These figures show strong demand for Qualcomm’s products, which the Galaxy S25 series is expected to boost further.
