Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event did not have the impact the company hoped for. Fans of the Galaxy brand took to social media after the reveal, expressing disappointment over the new Galaxy S25. Many compared the event to the unimpressive launch of the iPhone 16, with consumers expecting more innovation.

Galaxy S25 Reveal Sparks Disappointment: ‘Make Samsung Great Again

A key issue for many Galaxy users was the removal of Bluetooth functionality from the S Pen. For years, this feature was a standout element of the Galaxy Note and S-series phones. Samsung claims that not many people were using it, but online feedback suggests otherwise. Fans have voiced frustration, pointing out that the company continues to remove features with each new phone. Comments also mentioned the loss of the microSD slot and headphone jack in previous models, leading to concerns that Samsung is slowly downgrading its flagship devices.

There’s also a growing sentiment that Samsung is copying Apple’s approach of simplifying its phones. Once, Galaxy flagships were known for being the best in the market, packed with cutting-edge technology. Now, many users feel that the “best of the best” label no longer applies. A popular Reddit post titled “Make Samsung Great Again” urged people to skip the Galaxy S25 and send a message to Samsung. This reflects a broader feeling that the company needs to change its approach.

The biggest complaint, however, revolves around Samsung’s heavy focus on artificial intelligence (AI). The new Galaxy S25 phones will feature strong integration with Google’s Gemini AI, but many users are not interested in this feature. Instead of highlighting hardware upgrades, Samsung emphasized AI throughout the event. Many fans feel that the company’s push for AI is a distraction, especially when there are fewer hardware improvements this year.

Some users have speculated that Samsung’s AI focus is a way to justify the acquisition of AI technology. Others believe the removal of Bluetooth from the S Pen could be a strategy to sell accessories separately. Regardless of the reasoning, it’s clear that Samsung’s decisions have not impressed many fans.

At this point, Samsung needs to regain consumer trust. The company must ensure that the Galaxy S25 Edge and future devices offer meaningful upgrades. If Samsung fails to address these concerns, it risks losing its position in the competitive smartphone market.
