Samsung is rolling out a paid subscription service for Galaxy smartphones. This new plan will expand the AI Subscription Club, which already covers Samsung’s home appliances. According to ETNews, Samsung Vice Chair Han Jong-hee confirmed the service will include smartphones and the upcoming Ballie AI robot.
What Is the AI Subscription Club?
Samsung launched the AI Subscription Club in South Korea last December. It offers plans for AI-powered devices like TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines. Subscribers get lower upfront costs and optional repair and maintenance services.
Samsung now plans to include Galaxy smartphones in the service starting next month. Han Jong-hee also shared that the Ballie robot will launch in Korea and the US as part of a subscription plan.
No Immediate Changes for Galaxy Users
Samsung users can still access AI features for free. The company has promised these features will stay free until the end of 2025. Samsung hasn’t said what will happen after that.

What Might the Subscription Offer?
The smartphone subscription might work like the one for home appliances. It could include premium AI features, maintenance services, or upgrades.
So far, the subscription is only available in South Korea. Samsung hasn’t announced plans to offer it globally. More details might come at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22nd in San Jose, California. Samsung is also expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 series at this event.
Ballie AI Robot Joins the Club
Samsung’s Ballie AI robot will also launch through a subscription plan. The Ballie is a smart home assistant designed to make life easier. It will first be available in Korea and the US.
Conclusion
Samsung’s AI Subscription Club is expanding to Galaxy smartphones and the Ballie robot. The subscription will be optional and may offer extra features for those who choose it.
This move shows Samsung’s focus on building a stronger AI ecosystem. Fans can expect more updates at the Galaxy Unpacked event later this month.
