The fourth generation of the iPhone SE, aka iPhone SE 4 or iPhone SE (2025) should be unveiled in the next week. The base model is expected to start at $499, but some sacrifices have been made to achieve this pricing point. The new iPhone SE 4 leaked online on a Chinese retailer, revealing its specifications. The starting model could have just 64 GB of internal storage, which is just a little considering the phone’s price and the fact that we are in 2025.

iPhone SE 4 Set to Launch on February 19th – Details Leaked Ahead of Launch

On Thursday, Apple confirmed that a new product will be unveiled on Wednesday, February 19. Both Apple’s short teaser video and recent rumors suggest that the fourth-generation iPhone SE will be announced on that day.

A listing on a Chinese store has revealed key details. The biggest change is that, for the first time in an entry-level iPhone, Apple has removed the physical Touch ID button, giving the device a full-screen design.

The Chinese store leak also suggests that the phone may feature a 6.06-inch LTPS OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. This is a significant upgrade from its predecessor—the third-generation iPhone SE (2022)—which had a 4.7-inch IPS LCD screen. Another confirmation is that the phone will start with 64GB of storage. While the iPhone SE lineup has always featured more basic configurations, 64GB was already considered limited in 2022 with the third-generation model—and in 2025, it feels even more outdated.

Expected Specifications

Beyond what the store listing revealed, other leaks provide a clearer picture of what to expect from the fourth-generation iPhone SE. The device is rumored to feature the Apple A18 chipset, the same processor used in the upcoming iPhone 16.

Additionally, it is expected to switch to USB-C charging, finally replacing the Lightning port. Apple did the change last year, and it couldn’t use the Lightning port in 2025 anyway. The EU Law that imposes USB Type-C for electronics is already alive. As for cameras, the phone may come with just one rear sensor, but a 48MP resolution, marking a major upgrade.

iPhone SE 4

Perhaps one of the most intriguing details of the iPhone SE 4 is the 64 GB base model. In reality, the usable space is even smaller. Apple states that iOS 18 and system apps take up nearly 17GB. Meanwhile, Apple Intelligence requires another 7GB, and that’s one of the new selling points for the SE. In the end, users will have just 40GB of apps, music, photos, and other user data.

If Apple keeps the same storage upgrade prices as the iPhone SE 3, the 128GB model could cost $599, while the 256GB version may reach $699. As always, take these leaks with caution—whether Apple truly limits storage this much will be confirmed next week.
