January 2025 is set to bring several exciting devices from top brands like OnePlus, Realme, Oppo, Poco, and Redmi. New Smartphones Coming in January 2025

The big stars are set to make their debut, and the month already starts with CES 2025 which should be a great stage for electronics. Without further ado, let’s see the most relevant releases coming this month.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series

One of the biggest releases of 2025 will be the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. The new lineup will be composed of a Galaxy S25, S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, there is also evidence pointing to the launch of a fourth member for the lineup – The Galaxy S25 Slim. This new smartphone will be similar to the other flagships, however, it will come with a sleek profile and thin body. It should be Samsung’s thinnest flagship smartphone to date. It is coming to compete with the rumored iPhone 17 Air which also prioritizes sleekness.

The Galaxy S25 Series will be split between Exynos 2500 and Snapdragon 8 Elite variants. The Galaxy S25 Ultra should ship only in Snapdragon flavor. The brand will also offer free Google Geminig Advanced AI for those acquiring the new flagships. Samsung has yet to confirm the date of its Unpacked event, but that should happen soon.

OnePlus 13R

OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 13R on January 7, 2025, alongside its flagship, the OnePlus 13. The OnePlus 13R is rumored to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 5, released in China in December 2024. Targeting the premium mid-range segment, it offers features designed to impress.

The OnePlus 13R will come in two eye-catching colors—Astral Trail and Nebula Noir. It will have a modern design with a large circular camera module on the back, holding three sensors and an LED flash. The front will feature slim bezels and a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, creating a sleek look. The power and volume buttons will be on the right, with an alert slider on the left. The rear cameras are rumored to include a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP secondary, and a 2MP sensor, while the front may have a 16MP camera for selfies. Fast charging and other premium features are also expected, with final details to be revealed at launch.

The new smartphone is based on the OnePlus Ace 5, so it’s easy to guess its specifications.

OnePlus 13 (Global Release)

The OnePlus 13, launching on January 7, 2025, will feature a 6.82-inch BOE X2 2K+ AMOLED display with 4,500 nits brightness, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and a DisplayMate A++ rating for exceptional visuals. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, it achieves a record AnTuTu score of 3.18 million, with up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage for top-tier performance.

The camera setup includes a 50MP Sony LYT808 main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens,. It also comes with a 32MP selfie camera. The device offers IP68/IP69 ratings, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Lights are kept with a 6,000mAh battery, 100W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging, it combines durability with cutting-edge features. Pricing in India is expected to start at ₹53,000, with the top variant around ₹62,500.

Realme 14 Pro

The Realme 14 Pro series is expected to launch in early January 2025, featuring the Realme 14 Pro 5G and Realme 14 Pro+ 5G. Both models will likely use the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, also found in the Redmi 14 Pro+. The series will focus on advanced cameras, offering a periscope lens, AI Clarity 2.0 for enhancing low-resolution images, and AI image stabilization paired with OIS to reduce blur.

The Realme 14 Pro will come in Pearl White and Suede Grey, with storage options ranging from 8GB RAM/128GB to 12GB RAM/512GB. While the exact release date isn’t official, the launch may happen soon.

Oppo Reno 13 Series (Global)

The Oppo Reno 13 series, expected to launch soon, will offer a flagship experience with a sleek design and strong performance. The lineup includes the Reno 13 5G and Reno 13 Pro 5G, featuring a premium aluminum frame and a sculpted glass back. The unique triangular camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a standout 50MP front camera for detailed selfies.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset, the devices will come with a 5,600mAh battery and 80W fast charging. Running on ColorOS 15, based on Android 15, they will deliver an optimized and smooth user experience. Pricing details for India are yet to come. However, the series will balance premium features with competitive pricing.

Poco X7 Series

Poco will launch the Poco X7 5G series in India on January 9, 2025. We will see the launch of both the Poco X7 5G and Poco X7 Pro 5G. The Poco X7 5G sports a squircle camera module, while the Pro variant has a pill-shaped design. The X7 comes in silver and green, and the Pro offers a dual-tone black and green option. Both devices will sell in India through Flipkart.

The Poco X7 Pro 5G will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset. It will include a 6,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging. Moreover, it flaunts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The Poco X7 5G will likely include a Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, a 5,110mAh battery, and 45W charging support.

Redmi 14C 5G

Redmi will launch the Redmi 14C in early January 2025. It will arrive as a new version of the Redmi 14R. It may include a 6.88-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1640 x 720 resolution, and 600 nits brightness for outdoor use.

The Redmi 14C may feature a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. A 5,160mAh battery will keep lights on with 18W fast charging support. This device stands as a budget-friendly option. The goal here is to offer performance for basic usage at an affordable price. It’s a basic smartphone but delivers 5G speeds for those who want base usage.
