Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7: First Foldable with Exynos 2500 Chip?

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in July 2025. Reports suggest it will be the first foldable from Samsung to use an Exynos chip. According to The Elec, a senior Samsung executive has confirmed that the new Exynos 2500 will power the device. This marks a major milestone for Samsung’s foldable phones.

The Exynos 2500 will be built using Samsung’s second-generation 3nm (SF3) process. This advanced chip will include a 10-core CPU designed for both speed and efficiency. Its layout is as follows:

1 Prime core running at 3.3GHz for peak performance.
2 Big cores at 2.75GHz for demanding tasks.
5 Big cores at 2.36GHz for balanced workloads.
2 Efficiency cores at 1.8GHz for lower power use.

So, for graphics, the chipset will feature the Xclipse 950 GPU. This is based on AMD’s RDNA architecture, offering high-end visuals. The combination of powerful CPU and GPU makes the Galaxy Z Flip 7 ideal for gaming, multitasking, and media use. Also, the Exynos 2500 is expected to go into mass production in early 2025. Samsung plans to manufacture around 229.4 million smartphones next year. Among these, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will sell 3 million units.

Additionally, Samsung may release the Galaxy Z Flip FE, an entry-level foldable. This budget-friendly model could sell around 900,000 units, giving more people access to foldable phones.
